Our insurance office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10am-12.30pm and 1pm-3pm.  During out of office hours we have an answer phone to ensure your call can be logged and dealt with quickly.

Active Ageing
A variety of activities are offered throughout Ribble Valley to help promote health and wellbeing in older people. To find out what is currently available please contact the co-coordinator on 01200 453073.

Carers Access to Health
The Carers Access to Health Project supports people who have a caring role, to attend health related appointments. The carer or the cared for must be over 65 years. The service can proved a sitting service whilst the carer attends an appointment and can assist the carer and/or cared for to attend appointments. This service is provided free of charge. Carers Support
Support to carers is a priority.  In Ribble Valley this is provided by a Care & Respite Group which is a monthly social activity for carers, dependent older people and those who live on their own.  Contact our Outreach Officer on 01200 453072.

Charity Shop
Our Charity Shop located at 1 Moor Lane, Clitheroe (Tel: 01200 453071), which offers a wide range of quality, nearly new clothing, accessories and bric-a-brac. Using our shops gives you the opportunity to find a bargain whilst helping generate income and recycle your old unwanted items by donating them to the shop.

Community Support, Leisure and Social Activities
Our Outreach Officer works to identify what is needed in local neighbourhoods and looks at ways of setting up services and activities to meet these needs.  We are currently providing a home visiting service, running social & leisure activities to promote healthy ageing and supporting activities in some of the villages across the district. Day Care Services
We offer a service for frailer older people who need support in order to remain living independently. Our services are based on individual needs and are available following an assessment by Social Services. If you feel this service may be applicable to you or some one you care for please contact the Area Manager on 01200 453076.

Hospital Aftercare Scheme Crisis
This service provides support to East Lancashire residents aged 60 or over who have attended an Emergency Department or Urgent Care Centre and been discharged home. Our staff provide an information service and/or practical support in the home for up to seven days. Information and Advice
We provide information and advice to older people and their carers on a variety of issues including welfare benefits, getting help with housing issues, residential and nursing care, consumer problems etc. Surgeries are held in the office on Tuesdays between 10.30 and 12.30 and home visits are available in some circumstances. Ribble Valley Seniors Advisory Group
Established and supported by Age Concern Lancashire, the Ribble Valley Senior's Advisory Group is an important means of advising agencies and organisations, such as the District and County Councils, on issues that are important to older people. Contact 01200 453072 for more information.

Signposting and Help Direct Service
Providing information, advice and access to helpful, practical support and community services to all ages so that problems can be resolved before they turn into a crisis.  Age Concern Lancashire’s Clitheroe Reception is the face to face representative for Help Direct in the town working in partnership with Calico Enterprises Ltd.  No appointment necessary just call in and speak to one of our receptionists
